๐Ÿ„ Comparing Cordyceps 10:1 Vs. Cordyceps 1:1

The 10:1 extract is a little bit confusing. Rather than being a stronger version of the 1:1 extract on a per weight basis, it just harnesses certain characteristics of the 1:1 extract and brings them to the forefront. This means that the 10:1 extract isn't actually 10 times stronger than the 1:1 extract and this is because the extraction method doesn't lead to a linear increase in strength. Instead, we have to take into account the selectivity of the solvents we use. The 1:1 extract is just extracted with water which leads to a high concentration of water-soluble Beta-Glucans. The 10:1 extract, on the other hand, is a dual water/ethanol extract. Beta-Glucans aren't ethanol soluble so the Beta-Glucan levels in the 10:1 extract is much lower. However, there are a lot of compounds in Cordyceps which are soluble in ethanol. Due to this, those compounds are going to get concentrated more than the water soluble compounds in Cordyceps. This changes the character of the effects rather than the strength of the effects. The 10:1 extract is far more stimulating and pushy in comparison to the 1:1 extract, and due to this, it is great for acute use ahead of highly demanding physical exercise but the 1:1 extract is actually better as a daily energy and mood enhancer.

If you are looking for a daily addition to your supplement regimen with the goal of increasing your overall energy levels, then the 1:1 Cordyceps extract is a great choice. If you are interested in the endurance enhancing effects of Cordyceps, then you are likely better off opting for the 10:1 extract. Alternatively, you could use the 1:1 extract on a daily basis and then use the 10:1 extract right before any strenuous physical activity.*
